The Equestrian Athlete Workshop

DSC09150_edited.jpg

The Equestrian Athlete workshop explores the theory behind why riders should view themselves as athletes and the crucial role fitness plays in enhancing health and performance.

This practical workshop will equip riders with exercises designed to target common rider postural weaknesses, and injuries such as lower back pain, ensuring riders can get the most out of their exercise sessions to thrive both in and out of the saddle.

What does the workshop cover?

The Equestrian Athlete workshop is designed to educate on three outcomes:

  • Section 1 - Understand why equestrians are athletes

  • Section 2 - Recognise why fitness is important to equestrians â€‹

  • Section 3 - Learn how to exercise out of the saddle

This workshop has been designed to give riders a rounded appreciation of why, what and how they should exercise to be an equestrian athlete.

Who is it aimed at?

The Equestrian Athlete workshop is for riders and coaches aged 18 years and above who have an interest in rider fitness. The practical section of the workshop can be tailored to ability levels of attendees.

Can this workshop be delivered to private groups?

If you have a livery yard, Riding Club, Pony Club, educational establishment or performance group that would benefit from this workshop then contact rosa@equestriansportscience.co.uk to discuss private delivery.
